Overview
Keg Craft Beer was a new tasting bar opening up in Bourne End. They required a website to promote their new business and let potential customers know about opening times, their products and where they are.
The brief was as follows
- Client must be able to update the site themselves
- Add maps, products and information about the business
- Register a domain name and organise hosting
- The client was busy getting the premises ready, so content would need to be provided by Red Kite Code
Solution
Because of the client's requirement to be able to modify the site themselves, we went with a WordPress solution. The client picked a theme that they liked and the site was configured for them from that. Many of the images and text was added by us to fill the site out until the owners had more time to dedicate to this endevour. It needed to link to their new social media accounts, run google maps and promote their contact details.
The Process
First we registered their new domain name and set up a hosting account for the site. We installed WordPress onto the site and uploaded the theme chosen by the client. We then populated the site with content we generated, including photoshopping all of the images and icons required. Two blogs were added to get that part of the site ready. We connected the site to their social media accounts, wired up the maps with a Google API key and set up the e-mailer for contact.
